The Boiler
The top of the firebox is having ten new crown stays fitted as work on the boiler approaches
completion
New plate work has been fitted in the fire hole door area and the flanges for the back head fitting have been blanked off as the time approached for a hydraulic test
when is this project likely to be finished, as it doesn't seem to far off? it was supposed to be going to the GWSR by September, and as a working volunteer there, I can't wait to see it, any ideas when it is likely to turn up now?

Like any loco overhaul it will be finished when its done. The boiler is due to be tested and returned to the frames during October. Then its final assembly and pipework, which is sure to take 2-3 months if all goes well.
